Durand Art Glass of Vineland, New Jersey only produced artistic glass for a period of seven short years between 1924 and 1931. Impressively by 1926, Durand's firm was awarded a metal of honor at the Sesquicentennial International Exposition in Philadelphia for achievements in its fancy glass.
This choice green-rimmed example of a Durand candlestick in ambergris glass was called Spanish Yellow and the extensive use of this color line included stemware, compotes, candlesticks (like this one), and even complete dinner sets.
