Simply irresistible! This large, hand painted charger on blown, white lusterless glass is attributed to Mt. Washington Glass Works of New Bedford, Mass, circa 1880. It’s highly accomplished depiction of songbirds nesting in a prunis branch is so lovely and charming! This truly must be one of the best-rendered and realistic hand enameled scenes painted by one of Mt. Washington’s very finest artists. Measures approximately 12-1/4” diameter. Polished pontil. No chips, cracks or restoration.
