A beautiful, large antique English lavaliere necklace, dating to the early 1900s and in superb condition. In a chrome-plated silver tone metal, and set with beautiful glass pastes, the necklace features a very large pendant dropper comprising a deep citrine yellow glass stone claw-set in an open-back mount, and surrounded by a cluster of leaves and flowers. The leaves are set with cut glass stones which have a mirror finish to resemble marcasites. The flower shapes are set with deep yellow glass paste stones. These are rub-over set in closed-back mounts. The glass marcasites are all prong-set. The pendant is suspended beneath a tiny, paste-set flower, articulated to give movement, and hangs from a decorative-link chromed chain. The necklace measures 16.5 inches in length, and the pendant drop is 2.5 inches x 1 inch wide. The large, oval citrine paste is 0.75 x 0.5 inch. Signed by hand on the reverse with an inventory or registration mark "3715". The necklace wears beautifully, and looks fabulous around the neck.
