The item being offered for sale is a very rare Consolidated Dancing Nymphs Reuben Blue Palace Platter. This beautiful piece of art glass features nude figures with scarves against the rich Reuben blue background. The palace platter was produced at the Phoenix Glass Company using the Consolidated molds. The molds were moved to the Phoenix Glass Company late in 1933, after Consolidated closed due the Great Depression. The molds were returned to Consolidated after they reopened in 1936. The platter is in excellent condition, being free of chips, cracks, or repairs. This phenomenal piece of glass would make a great addition to any Consolidated or Phoenix glass collection.
