Glass Display Case from the 1920's Beauty Shoppe used by young beautician in her first shoppe. The owner of this great looking piece was the first beauty shoppe entrepreneur in Sanford, N. C. in the mid 1920's and through the 30's.
Also included with this piece are Historical newspaper articles, beauty advertisements, beauty shop product pictures and other related memorabilia regarding her shop and career. It has been stored as a display case by her relative for all these years in between. Now it can be yours.
There is a sconce at top right with black shade. This item would make a lovely doll case or other collector's storage/display. The piece measures 42" outside to outside, 80" tall at tallest middle design. The right tower side is 42.5" tall and 9" wide across front.. The left section is 60.5"tall and 12" wide across front. Space between two vertical towers measures 22". Mirror is 16"x 33". Right tower is 13" deep front to Back. Right Side is 9" deep front to back. 24" across top before step-up work begins. Case is black with crème trim. The top of the work space middle unit is covered in 1/2"black glass. Lock and key intact as is all glass shelves as shown.
This would also make a great display case in a Jewelry store, Beauty Shop, Clothing Store or Make Up Salon. Buyer may want to arrange courrier pick-up because of delicate nature (glass) of this cabinet. Enjoy
