Hunter Wood's marine ship painting was only one of his many splendid ship portraits completed during his career. This signed vintage lithograph, "Blessing of the Bay" was lithographed in the USA and was copyright to Donald Art Co., Inc. in 1965. This lithograph is old but has never been framed or exposed to light. Great color and fine art print paper. Hunter Wood was born in 1908, spending much of his time in Long Island where he painted. He came from a marine painting and marine loving background where his father was also a marine painter and merchant sailor marine. I have owned these prints since the late 60's. This print is 18x14 inches including the 1" white border. The Lithograph was signed in dark black block printed letters by the artist as follows: Hunter Wood, Lt. USMS and it has an anchor drawn in black next to the last letter of the signature. The print is numbered 4493. The print has never been framed but does show a reasonable amount of edge soil which is common for a print of this age. This should not affect the framing of this beautiful print. Enjoy or give as a gift. I will be happy to mat and frame for you. Ask about our moulding and matting.
