This lovely nude lady is a vintage lithograph of demonstration watercolor from Art Instruction, Inc. in 1958. These lithographs were placed into the packages of student instruction often completed by mail. The artist, Tore Asplund, was born in Sweden. In N.Y. he studied at the Grand Central Art School and at the Art Students League. As a combat artist in the late war, he made many paintings of important military operations. A collection of his work was later awarded first prize at the Washington Press Club. The artist was the recipient of many awards and honors. This original painting received the Samuel T. Shaw prize at the 1941 Water Color Exhibition at the Salgamundi Club. The lithograph measures 8.5x16 inches and is especially beautiful color...old but never framed. Stored in dry, smoke free environment between artist papers for over 50 years. Will ship flat.
