This historical collection is in 4 parts or documents.
1)The 1st parchment item is of the Unanimous Declaration of Independence of Texas showing signatures of the Delegates of the People of Texas at the town of Washington in General Convention, dated March 2, 1836. It measures 13.75x15.5 inches.
2)Also included is a parchment entitled Republic of Texas Department of State signed by Joseph C. Eldridge. This is a letter from the Texas Acting Secretary of State giving results of the voting on Annexation.
3)Letter from the president of the Texas Republic, Executive Department, City of Austin to the President of the United States James K. Polk dated November 10, 1845.
4)A fourth item is a copy of the Joint Resolution for annexing Texas to the U.S. signed by John Tyler on March 1,1845.

I have owned these documents since the early 60's but have never framed them. These are fine vintage parchments that were produced and printed by the Constitutional Press, Inc. especially for the 1976 bi-centennial. They have not been exposed to moisture, light or smoke and have never been framed, stored flat. The parchments have mellowed into a beautiful tan colored document. This would be beautifully framed with black mat and black frame.

NOTE: I also have other historical parchment articles on this same site. Bundle, No extra SH.
Other Documents Available:
1) The Gettysburg Address signed by Abraham Lincoln and dated November 19, 1864.
2)The Bill of Rights Signed by John Adams, Vice President of US and Pres of the Senate and attested by John Beckley, Clerk of the House of Rep. and Sam Butts, Secretary of the Senate.
3)"We the People of the United States in order to form" in full articles and signatures of each state.
4)The Unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America with signatures. See all of these. Wonderful collector items.

I will be happy to discuss framing these documents for you. What a beautiful grouping for your den. Will sell separately. Will only ship flat and not rolled. Enjoy. Thanks for Looking.
