Vallerysthal/Portieux is a glass producer with a complex history. ... A mix of Bohemian and French glass workers created a thrilling array of opaline and decorative glass. In 1870 however, this area of France became part of Germany.

This pink opaline set was made in France at the glassworks Portieux Vallerysthal. Vase is 6" tall with a 3" measurement across center of bottom. The bottom had a pontil that was beautifully polished out. At some point in it's life, the jar lost it's lid. Now it's perfect as a trinket jar, mint jar, etc. The jar is 3 1/4" tall and same size base, which is rayed, as the vase. Set is heavy for size.
The color is beautiful, the set is beautiful, and the condition is beautiful!
