This vase, c.1965 just could not be much grander! It's quite large, measuring approximately 10 1/2" tall. The pattern is HER5, done
in a Rococo style, with flowers and lots of gold trim. The bottom is signed, showing it was made in Hungary. In 1839, a porcelain factory opened in what formally was a stoneware factory. The factory was Herend Porcelain. Herend won a gold medal at the first ever World Exhibition in 1851. Very soon after that, Herend became the porcelain maker to Royalty. It's apparent why, when you have a piece of Herend porcelain. Today it's getting hard to find the older pieces, though old, new or in between, Herend is extremely collectible. Condition on this wonderfully decorative large vase is absolutely perfect! I also have another Herend listing which you may like. I hope you'll come take a look!
