An estate find ~ unmarked antique European porcelain ~clearly of German or Austrian descent. The applied gold roses over the hand painted green borders are in excellent condition. The gilding combines hand painting and Mixon technique which was quite common during the late 1800's. The colors of the center painting which is also applied, caught my eye...the more I looked at it, the more I realized there was an artist signature and date....that is hand painted on ~ I pictured a close up for you to see. The art work is very well done and has with stood time well over the 100 year mark.
This precious little treasure measures a bit more than 2 1/2 " H by 4 1/4" across...the circumference is 14"a bit of wear commensurate with age, no chips, nicks or cracks
