For your consideration is a lovely vintage cast iron enamel Causances / Le Creuset oven roaster made in France . Marked on the lid is "Doufeu" and also an encircled "AC". I believe "AC" stands for Andre Cousances. The bottom of the roaster is marked with an encircled "AC" and the number 16. Under the lid is the number 16. The oven roaster has a red / orange color exterior with a light blue / grey interior and a black ribbed bottom, which Le Creuset used from the 1950's to the 1960's. The lid of roaster has the recessed design to hold ice and dimples on the lid interior to collect the condensation and direct the moisture back down onto the food. It can also be used as a regular roaster without ice. Approx. 15" long by 9-1/2" wide by 4-1/2" high with out the lid by 6" high with the lid.
Good vintage condition with some chipping and scratches from use.
The roaster weighs 14 pounds not including the packing and shipping box.
