Many of the recipes found in this book have been handed down for generations by United Daughters Confederacy members and their families making it truly a collection of southern cookery. Along with the pictures and biographical sketches which gives you a glimpse into some of the events that have occured at the historical Camp Moore Log Cabin site and other United Daughters of the Confederacy chapter sites in the state of Louisiana.
In 1976 the Log cabin was rebuilt by Camp Moore's daughters, sons and the children of the Confederacy.
233 page spiral bound cook book in good condition, no rips or tears with a nice cover.. Page 188 has a note in pencil beside a recipe and on page 224 has under lining in ink. There is some dog eared pages and the back cover has a tear at the top.
