For your consideration is a whimsical Co-Boy "Utz the Banker" gnome. The Co-Boy series was produced by Goebel from 1971 to 1986. It is is 8" tall and is made of ceramic. Marked on the bottom is Well 513, Goebel, W Germany, 1970.
Co-Boy comes from the small village of Coburg, Germany. The fictional story is that the Coburg residents forgot how to laugh. One day a resident came up with the bright idea to fix the problem by resurrecing a long forgotten world of gnomes who lived in the area. They are beautifully crafted and painted and each figurine represents a town resident or profession.
Good condition with no chips or cracks.
