For your consideration is vintage copy of "Uncle Tom's Cabin", a Tale of Life Among the Lowly by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Published by McLoughlin Brothers, no print date. I believe it to be around 1915. The book contains black and white illustrations.
Harriet Beecher Stow was born in June 14, 1811 and died in July 1, 1896. She was an American author and abolitionist. Her novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin, was a depiction of life under slavery.
144 page hard cover book in good condition. On the back of the front cover is the previous owner's name in ink, page 3 has a small tear at the bottom and pages 117,118,119 and 120 have creases which can be seen in the pictures. There are a couple of torn spots on the inside of the back cover.The front and back cover has some shelf wear and some wear to the spine, edges and corners. The pages are browned with age.
