For your consideration is an Iroqraft corn husk figurine of a "Iroquois False Face Medicine Society Dancer." It was made by artist Owa'nyudane, I believe, between 1970 and 1989. This corn husk doll represents "Broken Nose" one of the most of supernaturals dedicated to the healing of certain of mankind's ills and to its protection from violent winds.

The doll is dressed as a dancer for False Face Society and is wearing a carved Broken Nose mask and is holding a spear. He is wearing a leather tunic with dark brown leather moccasins decorated with white and black beads. Yarn is wrapped around his waist , shoulders and around his legs as decoration. The doll stands on a wooden base. The size of the figurine with the base is approx. 8" long by 3" wide by 6" It still has the hang tag and is marked on the bottom of the wooden base. See the pictures for more details.

Good condition.
