"Ma's In The Kitchen", You'll Know when It's Done, by Carl Randall McQueary & May Nelson Paulissen. Published by Eakin Press, Austin, Texas, first edition, 1994. Inscribed on the first page by Carl Randall McQueary.

The recipes and history of Governor Miriam A. Ferguson.

Miriam A. Ferguson was the first woman governor of Texas. Serving from 1925 to 1927 and again from 1933 to 1935. The recipes are from Mrs. Ferguson's collection of recipes and kitchen instructions, many of which were handwritten. Her collection spans the years from 1899, when she married, until the time of her death in 1961. They come from a variety of sources, as it seems, Miriam traded recipes with just about everyone she knew.

"Ma's In The Kitchen" shares with us "Ma" Ferguson's remarkable life and recipes.

208 page hard cover cook book in good condition with no rips or tears. The only writing in the book is an inscription by the author in black marker. There are a couple of signatures by the recipes. The cover has little wear. See the pictures for more detail.
