This hand crafted Hallmark Keepsake " I Love Lucy" ornament is titled "The Ballet". It is dated 2004. The ornament is approx. 5" tall and was sculpted by Anita Marra Rogers.

On the back of the box is written: Lucy will try anything to break into show biz at Ricky's club, signing up for Madame Lemond's ballet class, she wiggles and wobbles her way through the exercises in comic counterpoint to the deadpan dancers behind her. Finally getting into the swing of things, Lucy lapses into the Charleston. The exasperated Madame Lemond declares. "Your posture is atrocious...!" and orders Lucy to the barre. "oh, good." says Lucy, "cause I'm awful thirsty." When Lucy's leg slips through the barre, in an unintentional, but hilarious improvisation, she winds up dangling like a monkey. This February 18, 1952 episode provides a first-rate example of Lucy's physical skills and comic versatility.

Excellent condition. The price tag is intact. The box has some wear.
