These lace edge tap pants were custom made in 1939 in New York City for a bride as part of her trousseau for her January, 1940 wedding at the Waldorf. They're ecru silk with beautiful scalloped lace around the bottoms, including the gusseted crotch. There are 2 buttons on the side closure. Beautiful French seams.
These beautiful tap pants were well taken care of and well stored for the last 75 years and are in overall excellent condition. There may be a few tiny age spots on the fabric but they are hardly noticeable.
Measurements were taken with the pants lying flat - I would estimate the size to be about a 6 in today's clothing, but please use the measurements below to guide you.
Overall length: 15"
