Exquisite is the word for this stunning antique American Brilliant Period (ABP) cut glass pitcher with wide sterling silver rim in Baltimore rose repousse by Jacobi and Jenkins of Baltimore. This pitcher was made c. 1894-1904 and is in perfect, unused condition. It stands 9 1/2" tall and has a base diameter of 4". The repousse pattern is magnificent with all the detail one expects from this Baltimore maker. Similarly, the glass is wonderfully cut with alternating panels of bullseyes, zippers, crosshatching, deep vessica cuts, and hobstar. The handle is also beautifully cut, and the base is rayed. The sterling is fully hallmarked as pictured with the Jacobi and Jenkins mark plus Fine Sterling; there is no maker's mark on the glass, though surely this was done by one of America's finest glass makers of the day. There is a small (a bit smaller than a dime) monogram on the inside back of the rim. I believe the center letter is an M but am not sure of the other fancy script letters. This pitcher is an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10!
