A mid century footed silver plate bowl lined in emerald green enamel by noted American silversmith Reed & Barton. The common term for this bowl's shape is a "Revere" bowl, so named because of the original design by American Revolutionary and silversmith Paul Revere. Reed & Barton called this shape "Jamestown" and is their inventory number 185. This is a large bowl with a top diameter of 8" and height of 4 3/8". It's in excellent condition with no dents or dings or loss/scratches to the enamel, which is absolutely lovely, and the silver is also free of dents, rubs, and scratches. We believe these bowls with enamel lining were introduced in the 1960s and 1970s. This will make a beautiful centerpiece and of course will be especially lovely at Christmas.
