Wonderful piece of North Carolina art pottery! Finished in a mottled red and white glaze, this handmade pitcher with ice lip and lid is from the Cole Pottery of Sanford North Carolina. It was thrown and decorated by Kenneth George, grandson of A R Cole, who works with A R's daughters, Celia Cole Perkinson and his mother, Neolia Cole Womack. Kenneth has demonstrated his proficiency "at the wheel" and insures the continuance of this wonderful American art pottery treasure. The pitcher stands 12" tall and is in excellent condition. It's marked with the Cole Pottery stamp as shown and is also signed by Kenneth George and dated 5-13-2002.
