Fine antique relief molded jug or pitcher with original pewter lid made be Copeland Garrett, dating 1833 - 1847. This is a large pitcher with wonderful detail. It is in very good condition with one small chip and hairline near the handle as shown in the second photo. Otherwise, the jug is in excellent condition and marked with the Copeland Garrett hallmark as shown in the photo. Great display size at approximately 8 1/2" tall and 8: from spout tip to outside handle edge. An outstanding early piece, probably used as an ale jug.
