A lovely antique Staffordshire blue and white footed tureen with domed lid by Spode, c. 1825. This nearly 200 year old piece was used for both vegetables and meats and measures 10 1/2" in diameter and just under 7" tall to the top of the lid finial. It has a gadroon edge and is decorated with roses and an assortment of English garden flowers. Overall, it is in very good condition for its age with no chips. There is one short, fine hairline at the edge as pictured and some very faint staining on the bowl interior. These are to be expected in a piece of this age and do not detract from its beauty or usefulness. Both the lid interior and base are marked "Spode's Imperial" along with a decorator mark as pictured.
If you collect blue and white Staffordshire, you'll love adding this piece to your collection.
The tureen weighs just over 4 lbs before packing, and shipping will be via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery to the lower 48 US states and via USPS Priority Mail International to specified locations.
