A really beautiful pearlware "semi-china" plate made c. 1820 by the Stevenson factory. The transfer ware is lovely, with the central scene being that of Netley Abbey, near Fareham in Hampshire. It has a beautiful floral border with scenic cartouches between the scrolls of flowers. The plate measures 10" in diameter and is in excellent condition and just one little "dig" at about 10 o'clock on the rim as shown in the close-up photo. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. The only mark on the reverse is "Semi China Warranted" as shown, but we've been able to confirm the Netley Abbey scene to the Stevenson factory.
