Early 19th Century Staffordshire Dog
A very nice medium size early 1800s Staffordshire King Charles spaniel, facing left. This piece is somewhat unusual in that the front left paw is separate from the body, whereas most Staffordshire dogs are all one piece. This charming figure has a black nose, golden eyes, and is decorated with gold speck design throughout. Note that the paws are also colored in black-gray. The figure stands 9" tall and the base measurements are 7" x 3". There are no chips or cracks, though there is loss to the gold decoration, overall fine crazing, and a bit of loss to the red on the mouth. This piece will look wonderful on a mantle, desk, shelf, or table.
Weight before packing is 2 lbs, and shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail.
