We adore this lamp! From the 1930s-1940s, this metal bouillotte lamp has an ivory and faux marble finish, double candle lights, adjustable metal shade with center courting couple hunt scene, decorated urn shape "font", and double stepped square base. It stands 24 1/2" tall to the top of the ornate finial, with the shade measuring 11" x 9" x 4 3/8" high. The base is 5" square. The cord has an attached on/off switch. We believe this lamp is Italian as the original cord, which is in good working order, is F.M.C. Milano, an Italian company. The base is covered in green felt, also in great condition, so we cannot see if there are other markings. We've seen similar pieces--though not as charming as this one--attributed as French bouillotte. Note that the lamp is weighted and quite heavy at 7 lbs. Condition is very good with a few anomalies that give it a slightly shabby appearance, and these only add to its vintage appeal.
