We believe that Chapman lamps are the very best. Their quality, design, and attention to detail are superb.
We're pleased to offer this beautiful Chapman lamp from 1985. It stands a stately 32" tall and features detailed flames emanating from a torchiere--very reminiscent of the Olympic flame, and very neoclassical. The black flame holder or torchiere has a rope band with an acanthus leaf pattern on the surround and a brass finial at the bottom. The brass 3 legged stand culminates in paw feet atop a 7" diameter round brass base.
The lamp's original shade is black parchment with gold interior, and it's held in place with a heavy brass flame finial.
The lamp's socket and the underside of the base are both marked with the Chapman 1985 label as shown.
This stunning neoclassical, late mid-century lamp and shade are in excellent condition.
The lamp weighs 10 lbs (I don't think you need to worry about the cat knocking it over) before packing, and shipping will be via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery, insurance included, for $35.
