A fine double handled vessel vase with panes manufactured between 1923-30 by the Richard-Ginori works of San Cristoforo, Milan, Italy. Measures 8 1/4" x 7 1/2" x 6 1/2" and is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or damage. There is minor crackling/crazing in a few areas common to faience, and one pea-size slight surface depression done in manufacture and underglaze on the side and pictured, mentioned for accuracy and not at all distracting. Gio Ponti, the early 20th century master of design, was the artistic director for the Ginori factories during this period and either designed or approved all works during the 1923-30 period when this vase was made. The vase bears the Ginori S Cristoforo mark as pictured along with the incised numbers 144. A remarkable piece for the serious collector.
