Beautiful Czech orange tango glass salt dip with silver rim. The silver rim is hallmarked DL with anchor, lion, and London marks--so small we couldn't get a really good photo, but readable with a loupe. The silver marks are those of David Loebl or Loeble, which was the London branch of Gablonz (Germany) silver maker Schindler & Co, and dates to the early 1900s. Based on the silver marks, we attribute this piece to one of the Czech glass houses operating at this time, possibly Kralik, Rindskopf, or Loetz, as Loebl was a known importer of these pieces.
The salt measures 2 1/4" in diameter with a mouth opening of 1 5/8", and it is 1 3/8" tall. Excellent condition.
