A wonderful handkerchief (Fazzoletto in Italian) vase blown by Pairpoint Glass of Cape Cod for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This style of vase was made famous by Venini of Murano, Italy. This one is fashioned in clear glass with strands (filigrana) of white and crimson swirling through. It stands 4" tall and has a top diameter (approximate of course, due to the asymmetry) of 5 1/2". It is in perfect condition. It retains it silver Pairpoint foil label and is also acid etched Pairpoint and MMA on the bottom.
