A stunning American Brilliant Period (1885 - 1920) oval glass tray in the Late Daisy pattern by the Mt. Washington Glass Co go New Bedford, Mass. This wonderful pattern was designed by Albert Steffen, the manager of the decorating department, and patented on May 11, 1909. The pattern has 3 large overlapping daisies with cross hatch centers and cut petals surrounded by stems of long leaves. The rim is a scalloped sawtooth. Whether this was originally designed as an ice cream tray we're uncertain, but it will have a variety of uses and is a wonderful addition to an ABP glass collection.
The tray measures 12 1/8" x 8" and stands 1 1/4" high at the rim. It's in very good antique condition with one very small chip to the tip of one tooth and no other damage. Very slight shelf wear to the bottom.
The tray weighs 3 1/4 lbs before packing, and shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail.
