Absolutely stunning antique vase completely hand painted with gorgeous yellow daffodils on rich creamy palest yellow and green background colors at the top that graduate to ethereal hues of beige and finally deep browns at the bottom. The form and shape are perfectly proportioned. A small gilded rim at the top measures just under 1 1/2" wide, while the vase's top diameter is 4 1/4", tapering to a base diameter of 2 5/8". This vase stands an elegant 11 3/4" tall and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. It is signed by the artist A. M. Lubbe 1905 on the bottom as pictured. The Vienna Austria crown mark with double shield beneath indicates that this piece was made by the Count Thun factory, and that the importer was the famous Bawo & Dotter import company, well-known for its Elite Limoges line of fine porcelains. A very special one-of-a-kind vase.
