A beautiful antique Flow Blue duo--an 8 1/2" plate and a matching footed paneled handle-less cup. The pattern has leaves and a blue band with curlicues on either side. Each piece has a 1" faint hairline as pictured, probably just a factor of age, and otherwise in very good antique condition. The plate is marked only "Stone China" impressed on the reverse. Many Staffordshire potters used a Stone China mark, either alone or in combination, but we believe this plate is likely by the Burslem pottery of Maddock & Seddon, which operated 1839-1842.
