This lovely Limoges shell serving dish has the prettiest colors! The interior is shell pink with pink and green flowers and a trail of red vines, all accented with gilt trim while the exterior sides of the bowl are a pale mint green. The combination of pink, green, and gold makes this dish romantic and young yet sophisticated--delightful! The dish measures 7 3/4" x 6 1/2" and is 1 1/2" high. It is marked on the reverse with the green GDA over France mark, which is the mark of Gerard , Dufraisseix & Abbott, a partnership which took over the Charles Field Haviland company c. 1900. There are also initials in gold overglaze that may be the artist's. The dish is in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks.
