Antique c. 1900 hand painted Limoges tray, so beautiful! This tray is huge, measuring 15 1/4" in diameter. It is completed hand painted with grapes and leaves and then further decorated with gold leaves and scrolls with raised gold decoration. It is just stunning in person.
This tray was probably intended as an underplate for a punch bowl or tea / coffee set, and so we've included a photo with our silver service on it to demonstrate one of the many ways it can be used. If you're fortunate enough to own a Limoges punch set, this underplate would be perfect for it. It also makes an impressive wall hanging with its great size and eye catching beauty.
The tray has no chips or cracks, slight wear to the gilding commensurate with age. It's marked on the back with the green GDA over France mark. GDA is for Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbott, the successor firm to Charles Field Haviland.
