A beautiful antique Nippon era Japanese porcelain pitcher! This pitcher has a pale yellow glaze background on the melon shape, twisted top or branch handle, and intricate gold enamel floral decoration. This is a large piece measuring 9 1/2" tall to the top of the scalloped rim. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just some slight loss to the gilding on the upper part of the handle as can be seen in the photo.
This piece is marked with the double Mt. Fuji symbol in red with a Japanese character beneath. This mark dates to the 1890-1914 era.
