A lovely vintage Wedgwood blue jasper ware full size cup and saucer. Josiah Wedgwood introduced this beautiful sprigged china in the 1770s, and it has remained Wedgwood's best known pattern with its sprigged white classical decoration in relief against a matte finish.
This is an older set, and the cup's interior is unglazed. The cup stands 2 3/8" tall at the rim, while the saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no damage. Both pieces are hallmarked on the bottom as shown (please excuse camera shadow).
