A beautiful antique Limoges porcelain dresser or vanity set in that wonderful French pale blue, hand painted with pink and white dogwood blossoms, and accented with gold decoration. The set consists of an oval scalloped edge tray measuring 11" x 8 3/4"; a lidded powder of trinket box measuring 4 1/8" in diameter and 3 3/4" high to the top of the gilt lid finial; and a hair receiver measuring 4 1/8" in diameter and 2 3/4" high. There is some gold loss to the top opening of the hair receiver and the very top of the powder lid, and one of the bowls has a shallow surface chip (about the size of a grain of rice) on its side as pictured. Other than the small surface chip aforementioned, there are no chips or cracks and the decoration is lovely. We've priced the set to account for the chip and slight gold loss.
Both the hair receiver and powder box are marked with the T&V Limoges France mark as pictured, while the tray is marked with the GDA Limoges mark. The set dates between 1892-1907.
