A most intriguing large framed-under-glass tinted photograph from the early 1900's. A lovely, well-dressed woman wearing a cloche hat and fur collared coat beside a man in suit, tie, and overcoat. Husband and wife? Brother and sister? We wish knew more...but what we do know is that this beautiful photo is hand colored and in its original frame with original slightly wavy glass and original backing. The frame moulding is nicely carved, and the entire piece likely dates between 1900-1925. It's in excellent condition for its age with no staining or foxing, though the frame has some minor nicks appropriate to age and there is dust under the glass, but we chose to clean the exterior and leave the interior completely original. PLEASE excuse the glare in the photos--we have such a hard time photographing art under glass.
