Early 1900s fruitwood floor lamp with detailed carvings.
This antique and finely carved floor lamp is rare both in shape and color. The wonderful tripod base consist of three impressive and hand-carved claw feet (even with nails). The acanthus leafs are also of the highest quality when it comes to shape and carving. The stem comes with perfect cannelures all around and the light color of the fruitwood makes the details come out even better. The good quality and excellent condition shade matches perfectly with this three-light floor lamp and if you already have a space in mind for it then it could be flying your way soon. This rare and impressive floor lamp will be rewired for safe use in the USA. The shade of the lamp are made of rawhide. It is a hide/animal skin that has not been exposed to tanning which is why it is much lighter in color than leather. Rawhide is primarily made from the skin of buffalo, deer, elk and cattle and it is hardened/dried. This shade is hardened/dried also and with the light switched on they radiate a warm light and the shade themselve too get a beautiful look and feel.
