EARLY CHILDS POLYCHROME BROWN TRANSFERWARE ABC PLATE
FLOWERS THAT NEVER FADE
Staffordshire England c. 1840
The wonderful child's pearlware alphabet plate is 7 3/8 " in diameter. The entire alphabet, A through Z is press moulded along the rim. The Z is impressed backwards which makes the plate quite rare. The image is of a naive scene of an industrious couple in the garden with a busy beehive in the background.
