EARLY CHILDS TRANSFERWARE MUG

This is a childs reward mug, circa 1860. This piece stands 3 1/4 " tall x 3 1/8 " wide with an applied loop handle. The mug is light weight and beautifully potted.
Golden luster trim frames script reading " A Present for a Good Girl. The piece is unmarked. It most certainly was made in the Staffordshire district. Mugs like this were made as gifts for good children and rewards of merit.
The condition of this exceptional mug is Great, tiny nick to the base and may have been stored away for 160 years.
