EARLY DOUBLE ALPHABET ABC PLATE

This early outstanding 7 1/2" plate has a raised embossed alphabet border with a second sepia brown transfer alphabet border within the well of the plate. This plate has a crisp image transfer printed in rich dark brown all covered in a pearlware glaze.
This wonderful piece of transferware has a young lass sitting in a field of flowers. She is feeding from a bowl and is surrounded by numerous inquisitive little chicks. Delightful image !
Never Used. Condition is Excellent. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. Three normal kiln stilt marks to the front.
Plates like these were given as gifts to children on special occasions and were used as educational tools, as well. A lovely addition to your ABC collection.
