VERY EARLY CREAMWARE PLATE
BLUE TRANSFERWARE ~ PRATT COLORED DECORATION

This is an early plate made of a soft paste earthenware. The plate measures 6 3/4 " in diameter. It is crisply transfer printed with the blue ponding of pearlware glaze.
The border is impressed with flowers with flowers and decorated with cobalt blue and burnt orange umber.
The central image transfer in blue features a Mother with her dutiful child at evening prayers.
The plate is in great condition, there are no chips, cracks or repairs. A 1" fine line off the rim.
