VERY EARLY CREAMWARE LUSTRE CHILDS MUG

FOR MY DEAR BOY

Sunderland, Staffordshire England ~
c. 1820

This desirable mug from the Staffordshire region of England stands a mere 2 3/8 " tall x 2 1/2 " wide excluding the applied handle.

A wonderful creamware mug with a lustre band along the rim. The black transfered inscription reads A PRESENT FOR GEORGE. A lovely band of connected leaves and flowers surrounds the text. Creamware with luster mugs are hard to find especially with such a fabulous subject as this.

Condition is EXCELLENT with a pin head mark off the rim. A rare find.

Please email me if you need further information.
