Utterly charming antique sterling silver finger purse etui. An English sterling silver lady's finger purse, or minaudiere. A minaudiere is a small ornamental, premium purse or bag. A 21/2" chain on either side of the clasp leads to a finger ring to prevent loss/theft. The purse interior is divided into compartments. The front and back of the purse are totally embellished with the finest millgrain etching. The clasp works perfectly and closes completely. Hallmarks: Lion passant: symbol for sterling silver 925 Anchor: Birmingham, England Letter "I" and SML in a rectangular indention for the smith. Weight: 56.3 grams 3 1/2" wide at the base and 2" deep . Concessions: 1 flea dent in top edge and very very shallow shadow dents on front. Wonderful for the flower girl or ring bearer to carry.
