Miriam Haskell's beautiful crystal and gilt set displays little if any wear, a true treasure; not even taking into consideration their 3 (three) huge faceted crystal or glass stones that will knock your socks off! These throw so much light and the gilding is so nice, it is hard to get a fix on any one spot on any of the pieces while they're being worn; a true treasure and a credit to Ms. Haskell and her designers. (This shows quite a few dark spots in the photos which are not there because the stones are so large.)
The brooch or stickpin is just over 3 1/2 inches long assembled counting all its gilt and rhinestone chains. The head portion of the brooch, is 1 inch wide. These have the vintage patented ‘oh so comfy' adjustable tension clip backs earrings, so there is no worry with them being too tight, too loose or uncomfortable. You can adjust them easily and quickly to the perfect fit! They are signed, HASKELL, on their clip backs, MIRIAM HASKELL, on the base pads and Pat. 3176475, on the adjustable screw pad for the patent awarded to N.J. Saccoccio on Apr. 6, 1965. In very good condition (Just a note: new ones we've seen have none of these markings). As has been previously mentioned each earring has twin huge faceted stones! There should be a photo in place 3, above that will hopefully depict this for you. They each measure just over 2 inches long by 1 inch wide and approximately 1/2 inch thick. Since they are mostly of filigree even with their large crystal stones, most find them comfortable to wear. ( N7982 )
...Note: Mannequin in the photos is smaller than life size. Numeric sizes in the description need to be used for actual fitting to your size...
Miriam Haskell Jewelry is beautiful, classic, stylish and distinctive; one of the most recognizable designer styles though out the decades, since the 1920's. These are just a few of the reasons her jewelry has retained and continues to increase in value; as well as, remained so collectible. The great designers that followed the original Frank Hess; Robert Clark, Peter Raines, Lawrence Vrba, Millie Petronzio and Robert Lee Morris though-out the years have managed to carry on this classic style first developed by Frank Hess with Ms. Haskell, while adding their own subtle, distinctive touches and flare. If it is not obvious, we are fans!
