Miriam Haskell classic lapel brooch / stick pin and earrings featuring her intertwining Russian gilt mesh ropes with creamy baroque glass pearl eggs in the centers of the nests makeup this beautiful set. It is in beautiful vintage condition and is so classically Haskell.
This classic jewelry design can be found in almost any fine jewelry showroom's show case anywhere in the world! This classic signed pair of earrings measure a large 1 inch in diameter by 5/8 inch proud; their matching stick pin's top is identical, having the same dimensions and design. The stick pin of the set does not bare a signature as was a quite common practice at its time of production; we have seen a number of these sets over the years and none of the stick pins have born a signature. The addition of the stick pin or pin adds a total length of 2 3/4 inches to its overall length. These Miriam Haskell signed earrings have the patented ‘oh so comfy' adjustable tension clip backs so there is no worry with them being too tight, too loose or uncomfortable. You can adjust them easily and quickly to the perfect fit! They are signed, HASKELL, on their clip backs, MIRIAM HASKELL, on the base pads and Pat. 3176475, on the adjustable screw pad for the patent awarded to N.J. Saccoccio on Apr. 6, 1965 (photo attached for reference). The earrings clip mechanisms and the typical Haskell spring loaded stick pin clutch mechanisms function properly. Miriam Haskell Jewelry is beautiful, classic, stylish and distinctive; one of the most recognizable designer styles though out the decades, since the 1920's. These are just a few of the reasons her jewelry has retained and continues to increase in value; as well as, remained so collectible. The great designers that followed the original Frank Hess; Robert Clark, Peter Raines, Lawrence Vrba, Millie Petronzio and Robert Lee Morris though-out the years have managed to carry on this classic style first developed by Frank Hess with Ms. Haskell, while adding their own subtle, distinctive touches and flare. If it is not obvious, we are fans!
