Vintage late 1940's Miriam Haskell large vintage earrings each with a central topaz colored glass stone surrounded by clear baguette rhinestones prong set in gilded metal vinery as those in the book, 'MIRIAM HASKELL JEWELRY', attributed to post WWII era, others in the collection can be seen on page 167 by Cathy Gordon and Sheila Pamfiloff, see photo no. 2 here for our listing with some of the other pieces in the collection from the book.

The earrings are in excellent condition measuring 1 5/8 inches long, 7l8 inch wide and is 3/8 inch proud; they look identical to the section immediately following the centerpiece of the necklace on page 167 and picture no. 2 here. The glass stones of the earrings are clear of flaws and each is of equal size, any difference in size perceived in the photos is a photographic illusion. They both have beautiful flawless sparkling amber glass. As the discussion for the like pieces and the others in this section of the book reveal; post WWII Haskell jewelry was unsigned until late 1947 or 1948, thus these earrings are unsigned too. These book pieces are a hunted treasure and a collector's coveted find.

Miriam Haskell Jewelry is beautiful, classic, stylish and distinctive; one of the most recognizable designer styles though out the decades since the 1920's. These are just a few of the reasons her jewelry has retained and continues to increase in value; as well as, remained so collectible. Great designers that followed Frank Hess; Robert Clark, Peter Raines, Larry Vrba, Millie Petronzio and Robert Lee Morris though out the years have managed to carry on the classic style first developed by Frank Hess with Ms. Haskell, while adding their own subtle and not so subtle touches and flare. If it is not obvious, we are fans! (L6088)
